What is flexible broadband?

Flexible broadband is home broadband without a long contract, so it can change when your plans do. With Flexible Broadband you get a plug-in 4G/5G router delivered the next working day for £39.99 a month on a 30-day rolling plan with a 30-day minimum term, with no engineer visit and no phone line.

How much does it cost?

£39.99 a month on every router, including VAT, with unlimited data. There's also a returnable deposit: £25 for Everyday, £50 for Everyday+ and £10 for On-The-Go.

How long is the contract?

Every plan is 30-day rolling with a 30-day minimum term. There's no fixed-term contract. After the first 30 days you can stop at any point with 30 days' notice and no exit fees.

How quickly can I get online?

Order by 4pm and the router usually arrives the next working day. Once it's plugged in you're online in minutes. Weekends and bank holidays can affect delivery.

Do I need an engineer or a phone line?

No. The routers connect over the 4G/5G mobile network, so all you need is a power socket. The On-The-Go router has its own battery and needs no socket at all.

Can I take it with me when I move?

Yes. You can use the service anywhere with a valid UK postcode and mobile signal, so the router can go with you. Speed depends on the signal at the new address and where you put the router.

Which router should I choose?

Everyday (up to 60Mbps, 16 devices) suits flats, shared houses and lets. Everyday+ (up to 500Mbps, 32 devices) suits working from home and full houses. On-The-Go (battery, about 8 hours, 8 devices) suits campervans, caravans and trips.

How fast is it?

Everyday and On-The-Go average up to 60Mbps. Everyday+ averages up to 500Mbps where 5G coverage allows. Speeds are averages and depend on mobile coverage and router placement.

What areas do you cover?

99% of the UK. The routers use the mobile network, so speed depends on the signal where you are and where you put the router.

How does the deposit work?

The returnable deposit covers the router, which belongs to Next Day Broadband Ltd: £25 for Everyday, £50 for Everyday+ and £10 for On-The-Go. Send it back in good condition in the pre-paid envelope and the deposit is refunded within 7 days. Late returns may cost £100.

How do I stop?

After the first 30 days, give 30 days' notice by calling 0330 229 6577, then post the router back in the pre-paid envelope. There are no exit fees.

What if it doesn't work for me?

There's a 14-day money-back guarantee for genuine cases where the service doesn't meet expectations. It doesn't apply if 5GB or more of data has been used, and it isn't meant as free broadband while you wait for another provider.
